Characteristics of stainless steel plates for boilers

Boiler stainless steel plate due to long-term operation under high temperature and high pressure conditions, the material will creep, plasticity and toughness will be reduced, the original structure will change, resulting in corrosion. 

Therefore, the stainless steel plate used as a boiler should have :

1. Sufficient lasting strength. 

2. Sufficient plastic deformation capacity. 

3. Minimal aging tendency and heat brittleness. 

4. High oxidation resistance, coal ash resistance, natural gas high temperature corrosion, steam and stress corrosion resistance. 

5. Good organizational stability and good process performance.

The steel types of stainless steel plates include carbon steel and pearlite, ferritic and austenitic stainless heat resistant steels. In order to improve the thermal efficiency of thermal power units and reduce fuel consumption, countries around the world are focusing on the development of large-capacity, high-parameter (high temperature, high pressure) thermal power units (more than 1000MW). The steam pressure is increased to 31.5 ~ 34.3MPa, and the superheated steam temperature reaches 595 ~ 650°C, which develops to the ultra-high pressure critical pressure, which puts higher requirements on the high pressure stainless steel plate.
